As if things were not ridiculous enough, I am on crutches. Now I am not even able to carry anything. I am uncoordinated enough and have lots of trouble not falling. Crutches add a whole new dimension of fall possibliities. Ugh.

UGH

They say it’s not for sissies,

This growing older stuff.

As life wizzes by before my eyes

Have I really not had enough?

My hands are sore, my legs give out,

I really am disgusted,

Why am limping all around

Like I’m already rusted?

Crutches, canes, wheelchairs and walkers

Become my closest friends

I wish I could run an jump and play

And dance and sing and ‘blend’.

In my head my heart runs free

My spirits are adjusted

As long as I sit in my chair

I’m not aware I’m busted.

Did I tell You a secret thing?

Did I say slow me down?

I really am quite sick of this,

Clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk I sound.

It’s all about me! Oh no it’s not!

Once more I start to cry

It’s not for sissies this older stuff

I stand, I sit, I lie.

    BARB'S ARTWORK
It seems to fall into the category of Aleatoric Art. I just scribble &  it looks
    like something
    to me, so
    I turn it into
    whatever I see.

Aleatoricart posted this description in September 2011 (this is an elevated view in my opinion):

"Aleatoric Art is the ultimate collaboration between
man and the elements. Happenstance, randomness
    and a twist
of fate’s unwilling wrist go in halfseys
with some of the most outstanding visionaries
the planet can boast in a peaceful
    yet often violent serendipity of
    creative cacophony
to produce works of art that go far beyond those
    of mere mortals alone."
