Time

Today while I was swiffering my floor, this thought went through my mind: "The more time I spend with You, the less time I spend striving to run my life." This thought brought rest to my inner being immediately. The song Jesus, Only Jesus was playing softly and I realized that trying to be okay, trying to be well, trying to stand tall on my own, results in exhaustion! I must cradle myself in Your loving arms, and I can rest and have the perspective that I need to walk through each day.
Then I opened Jesus Calling (Young, Sarah (2004-10-12). Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence (p. 49). Thomas Nelson. Kindle Edition.)
for today and I read:
"February 15
COME TO ME with all your weaknesses: physical, emotional, and spiritual. Rest in the comfort of My Presence, remembering that nothing is impossible with Me. Pry your mind away from your problems so you can focus your attention on Me.
Recall that I am able to do immeasurably more than all you ask or imagine. Instead of trying to direct Me to do this and that, seek to attune yourself to what I am already doing. When anxiety attempts to wedge its way into your thoughts, remind yourself that I am your Shepherd.
The bottom line is that I am taking care of you; therefore, you needn’t be afraid of anything. Rather than trying to maintain control over your life, abandon yourself to My will. Though this may feel frightening— even dangerous, the safest place to be is in My will.
"For nothing is impossible with God." LUKE 1 : 37
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." EPHESIANS 3 : 20 – 21
I am more than grateful for You. I cannot begin to imagine live without You. You are my strength, You are my stability. You are the One who makes me who I am. I must look at the time I spend with You as opposed to the time I spend thinking of my situation. I am not able to change a thing in my life. While I focus on You, Your love and power start a movement in me that is miraculous! Help me stay just a little longer in Your arms. Help time stand still, so I can ‘marinate’ in Your kindness and mercy, so that when I meet others, it will flow onto them. Thank You Lord. I am in awe.
