So this is how it goes, the Bad Day:
It starts out a little dizzy,
It gets a little confused
It starts thinking it can do everything,
Only to find out the frailty of humanness.
Help me catch the Bad Day
Before it takes over
Help me stop when it is running
And refuse to encourage it.
Help me see the futility of its core.
Help me see the Bad Day
Before it seizes me
Help me know who to turn to
And follow, not lead
Help me see the crazyiness it believes.
I know you, Bad Day,
And you are NOT in charge.
The One Who Makes Me Who I am
Is my Director of Operations, my CEO and CFO
And the One in Whom I put my faith.
Keep me on the steady path
The one that turns from Bad Day
And embraces the Truth
The Truth that keeps me going
Avoiding the lies and worries.
Only You, Lord, are my all in all.
As Philippians 4:13 in the Message says:
Whatever I have, wherever I am,
I can make it through anything
In the One who makes me who I am.
