Terribly Human

by Barb Berens

05.18.2014

Grace... We say it at meals

Grace... Some name their kids that

Grace... A state of being when we are nice

Grace... So much more than we can imagine.

Human... Making mistakes

Human... Saying wrong things

Human... Being downright rude sometimes

Human... Who can help?

Grace + Human, What a state that is!

Grace + Human, An avalanche of goodness

Grace + Human, I really don’t get it

Grace + Human, Divinely beyond my understanding

Terribly Human is what I am

Terribly Human with no hope of change

Terribly Human aware of the need

Terribly Human, I can’t do this alone.

We’ve collided with the Holy

Assaulted by the Grace

Contained in the Fire

That expunges all my dirt

Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

    BARB'S ARTWORK
It seems to fall into the category of Aleatoric Art. I just scribble &  it looks
    like something
    to me, so
    I turn it into
    whatever I see.

Aleatoricart posted this description in September 2011 (this is an elevated view in my opinion):

"Aleatoric Art is the ultimate collaboration between
man and the elements. Happenstance, randomness
    and a twist
of fate’s unwilling wrist go in halfseys
with some of the most outstanding visionaries
the planet can boast in a peaceful
    yet often violent serendipity of
    creative cacophony
to produce works of art that go far beyond those
    of mere mortals alone."
