(This was a project for my Creative Writing Class, from my view and from God’s view)
Life Worth A Son
(“Ahh! I love the quiet after the service is over. I really liked learning more about the Father Heart of God. Hmmm, there are only a few people left. I am so happy that they finally changed the carpet in here. The old carpet was looking very worn. I don’t know if I would have picked red, but they didn’t ask me. And I don’t know if I like that new carpet smell. I wish they had a fan in here. It’s not too bad today, but some days, whew! I want to run out screaming! You would think that the 30 foot ceiling would take all the heat, but no.)
(“Hmmm. I wonder who that is over there. I don’t think I know her. I love her curly long locks. That shade of brown has always been my favorite. The soft lighting along with the large picture windows make it sparkle! I love the great oaks outside. I wonder if they're going to kick us out? The band members are starting to put the equipment away. I really enjoy Pastor Harry! I know hearts were touched today. That large cross that they put on the side wall, next to the amazing organ pipes is very impressive. Sometimes I just want to lift my hands and take it all in. I’m glad that they have the room situated so I can see over tall people, the slope of the floor does help. I wonder why it took me 33 years to figure out that God existed? I know I am slow, and I have done a lot I wished I hadn’t done, but God rescued me at just the right time. He knows us so well. He knew exactly who to send my way at the perfect time.”)
(“I wonder why she is still sitting there. Maybe I will go see what is up.”)
“Hi, my name is Barb. I don’t know if I’ve met you yet.”
“No, we haven’t met yet. I’m Lindsay.”
“Hi Lindsay, have you been hanging out here at PCC for a while?”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“How can I be praying for you today?
“I don’t know, whatever you want to pray, just do it.”
(“Hmm. Help me know what to pray God!”)
“Ok! Father God, You know Lindsay, and You know exactly what she needs, so please take care of her and help her through this time. You love her so much and You will do whatever it takes to bring wholeness and peace into her life. Be a Father to Lindsay, Lord. I am so grateful that she is here today, and more than grateful that You sent Jesus, to open the doors of Paradise for us, so we can come to You in His Name. Amen.”
(“Wow!! That's a lot of tears!”)
“Thank you, Barb.”
“You are so welcome. Hey, do you have one of those books that go along with the series, The Father Heart of God?”
“No, I couldn’t afford one.”
“No problem Lindsay. I will get one for you.”
“Really? Ok.”
“Here, this one is for you. I think that it will be a great thing for you to study. Hope to see you next Sunday!”
“Okay.”
(“I’m glad I hugged her before I left her, she seemed so broken. You know what she needs, God. Please care for her deepest need. Now, what shall I have for Lunch?”)
A year later I saw Lindsay, and she told me that she had decided to kill herself that day, but wanted to try church for the last time. She said that the book was covered in tears, and just what she needed at the time. I felt humbled by her words. Thank You God, for saving this young one’s life!
Life Worth A Son
“My beautiful daughter, Lindsay! I value you! Don’t think that way! Suicide doesn’t solve anything. I know all that has happened to you. The evil that was done to you was NOT your fault! Oh Lindsay! Can you hear me calling to your spirit? Lindsay, I love you! I have such a wonderful future planned for you. No matter how you look at Me or think of Me today, I still will bring you to heaven to be with me forever! I will never discard you, Lindsay. I have a purpose for you.”
“I hear your thoughts, Lindsay. I know you feel insignificant and small, worthless. Do not listen to those destructive voices in your mind. Listen to ME! You are worth a Son to me. He opened the way to Me for you. At one time you knew that, but now the gift of faith I have given to you is buried under all that has happened. That doesn’t mean it is gone, Lindsay! I know you heard me say that the gift of faith I gave you, even though small as a mustard seed, can move mountains! I will take away the mountains, Lindsay! I will! That is what the gift I gave you does.”
“I am calling your heart, Lindsay. I am your Father Lindsay. The earthly father you had gave you a bad impression of Me. I am not him. I AM the One Who Sees You, El Roi. I AM the One who numbers the hairs on your head and who knows your circumstances, past, present, and future. Lindsay, remember My Word in Genesis about Hagar. She was outcast, desperate and alone, waiting to die. I spoke to her spirit also, and drew her heart to Me. Come look for me Lindsay! I AM always present. Nothing can separate us Lindsay. Lindsay! Listen to Me! I will never give up on you. You can count on me. Open your mind to Me, Lindsay. I AM Elohim, I created everything, and I have created in you a will to live. You matter Lindsay!”
“Go to church today, Lindsay”
“Go to Church today, Lindsay!”
“Go to PCC today, Lindsay! I’m calling you. I am drawing you to Myself, Lindsay. Don’t shut Me out Lindsay! I AM here for you. I will never leave you, I will never forsake you. You are not alone, Lindsay.”
“I have someone waiting for you, Lindsay. You will meet her today, and you will realize that your life is worth living.”
“My servant Barb. Listen to Me. I know you like the carpet and the quiet. Listen to ME! It doesn’t matter if your tummy is growling. I have a job for you! Pay attention to Me. I have called you, Barb. Forget about the carpet smell, Barb. That is not why you are here today. Open your eyes Barb! Look around. Do you see her? Do you see her? You need to go talk to her. Barb! Forget about the trees! Forget about what the musicians are doing! Look and listen! Now go! Go!”
“My servant Barb, pray for her. Yes, like that.”
“Give her a book, Barb. Give her that book.”
“Lindsay, I love you more than you can ever imagine! I AM your Father. I AM all you need.”
“Read the book that Barb gave you. Read it now.”
“I see your tears and your broken heart, Lindsay! I AM Jehovah Rophe! I AM the God Who Heals. You are not too broken to be whole again. I will do that for you! I will repair you, and remind you of your true identity.”
“Yes, Lindsay. I love you. I created you for a purpose. Yes, Lindsay, I have always loved you and will never stop loving you. You are my daughter, Lindsay. Yes, Lindsay. You are hearing me. I am yours and you are Mine. The tears you have shed on pages of the book are bringing you healing page by page. Yes, Lindsay, rest. You don’t have to figure out tomorrow. You don’t have to wonder what will happen. You are mine. Nothing can separate us. Nothing. It doesn’t matter what others think of you. All that matters is what I think of you.”
“Yes, Lindsay. Rest. Rest in Me. Sleep. Be restored. You will see, you will know how much I cherish you. No one can take that away from you. You are Mine. I love you, Lindsay!”
