"SEEK MY FACE more and more. You are really just beginning your journey of intimacy with Me. It is not an easy road, but it is a delightful and privileged way: a treasure hunt. I am the Treasure, and the Glory of My Presence glistens and shimmers along the way. Hardships are part of the journey too. I mete them out ever so carefully, in just the right dosage, with a tenderness you can hardly imagine. Do not recoil from afflictions, since they are among My most favored gifts. Trust Me and don’t be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song."

Below is the poem I wrote, trying to rhyme.. not my usual style.. But the experience of disability stings some days.
I am so grateful for those who love me, for my family, friends and acquaintances.. each of you play an important role in this journey. Some days I can't smell or taste. Some days I can't move my head with out being dizzy. Some days my hands are numb and face tingles.
Always, the presence of God bring comfort and strength, even on days where I make bad choices. Like yesterday when I thought I could drive the car all over. Well, I was informed that until we speak to the neurologist, I am not to drive. Oh well! The freedom was amazing! Is that called a guilty pleasure? Hmmmm...
Today I am venturing out I hope. We are so grateful for the rain, but rain and walkers usually don't mix.. When I woke up I had an invention in my mind. It was a contraption that would rest on my shoulders, with a long pole coming out of the back with a big umbrella on it. I don't like hats, so the hat umbrellas wouldn't work. This was perfect! Now if it only could way less than 10 pounds I would have something! Hahahahaha!
My prayer today is to have every moment be under the Rock of Jesus Christ. I want to not have my agenda, but His all day. What I do, what I eat, where I go.. all totally surrendered to the One Who Makes me who I am.
Thanks again Barb Bartoshuk for putting this poetry book together, I am in awe.
Right after I wrote the above I read Psalm 90 in the Message. Goes right with what I typed. Thank You Lord!
Psalm 90:12-17, The Message:
"Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well! Come back, GOD— how long do we have to wait?— and treat Your servants with kindness for a change. Surprise us with love at daybreak; then we’ll skip and dance all the day long. Make up for the bad times with some good times; we’ve seen enough evil to last a lifetime. Let Your servants see what You’re best at— the ways You rule and bless Your children. And let the loveliness of our Lord, our God, rest on us, confirming the work that we do. Oh, yes. Affirm the work that we do!"
