Being Present

Ephesians 1:17:
"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better."

BarbTalk: I pray that for all my friends and family. We are all so very busy, in our homes, jobs and in our minds. To settle the mind down enough to actually be present when we are with our loved ones is quite a feat!  So how can we enjoy this holiday season without feeling stretched and beat up when it is over? To have real rest in our minds, emotions and thoughts is also quite a feat. The phrase: "to recieve God's gift of wisdom and revelation" makes me realize that if my mind is so full and twirling about, even if I did recieve that revelation, I might not be aware of it. So I am praying for all of us, starting today, to sit quietly and allow those rushing thoughts to settle. To prioritize our thoughts into what is really significant so we don't miss the beauty around us will may give us that sense of calm we all seek. May God bless you with the revelation that He loves you more than you can imagine, and that He loves to spend some quiet time with you, when you are really present. May He give you wisdom to lay down what you don't need to carry and recieve the gift of new life that He has to offer.

    BARB'S ARTWORK
It seems to fall into the category of Aleatoric Art. I just scribble &  it looks
    like something
    to me, so
    I turn it into
    whatever I see.

Aleatoricart posted this description in September 2011 (this is an elevated view in my opinion):

"Aleatoric Art is the ultimate collaboration between
man and the elements. Happenstance, randomness
    and a twist
of fate’s unwilling wrist go in halfseys
with some of the most outstanding visionaries
the planet can boast in a peaceful
    yet often violent serendipity of
    creative cacophony
to produce works of art that go far beyond those
    of mere mortals alone."
